Turkish security forces on Tuesday arrested 12 ISIL-linked suspects, who the authorities said were planning to carry out attacks during New Year's celebrations, reported state news agency Anadolu.
The arrests were made during anti-terror operations in a southern province of Turkey.
Anti-terror police carried out simultaneous raids on several addresses in Adana, said the report, citing a police official.
Twelve suspects, including two Syrians, were arrested during the operations.
Police confiscated digital materials and other documents discovered during the raids, according to Daily Sabah.
So far more than 300 people have lost their lives in ISIL-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror groups targeted civilians with suicide bombings, and rocket and gun attacks.
Turkey suffered a bloody 2017 New Year attack. An ISIL-linked gunman killed 39 people in an elite Istanbul nightclub.
Turkish security forces have stepped up a campaign to thwart ISIL attacks across the country.
