In a statement to reporters in Dar es Salaam this week, LHRC CEO, Dr Helen Kijo-Bisimba, said they are ready to join other stakeholders to go to court to apply the instigation of the wording and some of the provisions of article 8.
Dr. Bisimba said that they have initiated a campaign to contribute to helping victims of the penalty that they consider to be bullying not only to the relevant agencies but also to the general freedom of expression.
"We want the Government to respect the existing Constitution by not joining the expression of freedom of expression. Advocate of good and evil and to use the views of its citizens in providing sustainable development to Tanzania.
We urge Tanzanians to join in asking the Government to not promote our freedom of speech which exists in accordance with the Constitution. Unless we are now we will be silenced, "said Bimba.
In addition, the director said that they had written a letter to the TCRA asking for a seminar for the LHRC and other institutions on how to organize content.
